Spokane Apostille Service in Washington

Apostille Request Form

Spokane is the largest city in eastern Washington, and it is a long way from Olympia, where every Washington apostille is issued. Spokane clients send us three main kinds of documents: university records from Gonzaga, Whitworth, Eastern Washington University and WSU Spokane for graduates working or studying abroad; family records for Fairchild Air Force Base personnel heading overseas; and powers of attorney and certificates for Inland Northwest residents with property or relatives in Ukraine, Russia, Mexico and elsewhere.

We handle Spokane orders entirely by mail. We confirm the document type first, because a common Spokane problem is an old certified copy from a county office that the destination country considers too old or wrong, and it is cheaper to fix before filing.

Who Apostilles Spokane Documents?

Documents issued in Washington are apostilled by the Washington Secretary of State, Corporations Division, Apostille and Certificate Program, at 801 Capitol Way South in Olympia. The state fee is $15 per document; standard processing takes about 7 to 10 business days, and same-day service is available in person for an extra fee. The document must carry the signature of a Washington official or a Washington notary with a complete notarial certificate. FBI background checks are federal and go to the U.S. Department of State.

Ukraine, Moldova and Mexico are Hague Convention members, so an apostille is the correct step. Non-Hague countries need embassy legalization, which we arrange.
