Camas Apostille Service in Washington

Apostille Request Form

Camas is about 20 minutes east of our Vancouver, Washington office, so Camas and Washougal clients can bring documents in person. Camas has become home to many engineers and managers working for semiconductor and technology companies on both sides of the Columbia, and their international assignments generate apostille requests: degrees and marriage certificates for work and dependent visas, and company documents for overseas partners.

One Camas detail matters: many residents work or were married in Oregon, so their documents may come from Oregon rather than Washington. Each state apostilles only its own documents. We sort a mixed set and file each document in the right state, Washington documents in Olympia and Oregon documents in Salem.

Who Apostilles Camas Documents?

Documents issued in Washington are apostilled by the Washington Secretary of State, Corporations Division, Apostille and Certificate Program, at 801 Capitol Way South in Olympia. The state fee is $15 per document; standard processing takes about 7 to 10 business days, and same-day service is available in person for an extra fee. The document must carry the signature of a Washington official or a Washington notary with a complete notarial certificate. FBI background checks are federal and go to the U.S. Department of State.

Oregon documents, such as a Portland marriage certificate or an Oregon-notarized contract, go to the Oregon Secretary of State instead. We handle both.

Clark County Offices Camas Residents Use

Clark County Auditor (marriage records)

Marriage licenses issued in Clark County are recorded by the Clark County Auditor, which provides certified copies. The Washington State Department of Health also issues marriage certificates.

Clark County Superior Court Clerk (divorce and court records)

Certified divorce decrees, adoption orders and name changes come from the Clark County Superior Court Clerk in Vancouver. Ask for a certified copy.

Birth and death certificates

Order certified copies from the Washington State Department of Health or Clark County Public Health. The Department of Health can also forward a new certificate to the Secretary of State for an apostille when you order it.
