Getting a Massachusetts apostille from Worcester
There is no apostille counter in Worcester. Apostilles come from the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s Commissions Section, which takes requests by mail at Room 1719, One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108, and in person there or at its offices at 436 Dwight Street, Room 102, Springfield and 218 South Main Street, Suite 206, Fall River.
The fee is $6.00 per document. Mail the Apostille/Certification Request Form, the original document, a check or money order payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a prepaid return envelope. The office gives two to three weeks for mailed requests.
A Worcester City Clerk signature on a certified copy is one the office can certify directly. A translation goes in as a notarized document: when that is needed, we hire a notary commissioned in Massachusetts to notarize the translator’s statement, and we can help with the request.
